If you are just cruising round, minding your own buisness in a sacked honda/evo/rx7 everything's fine. I don't know how different hamilton is to any other city, but the hamilton cops seem to be pretty good really.

If that's the case all over NZ then, you can hardly say cops are targeting boyracers, they just target idiots.

lol, sorry I'm not going to be drawn into yet another boring thread by the same cry babies, venting their spleens over the same old problems.

Grow up crnkin, there's no need for personal attacks on this forum. We all know the difference between "car enthusiasts" and "boy racers", so go and change your panties before they get too twisted. You're cutting off the blood supply, and thats not healthy ;)

Do you think you're the only "car enthusiast" who's sick of being picked on? Quite an ego you've got going there bud. If you guys did some reading, you'd know that all the petitions have been done, all the mayors and councils have been spoken with, even bloody Holmes has done a couple of shows about "the boy racer phenomenon". The only thing that will let the "boy racer" hype die down, is people LETTING IT GO.

Take a look out side of your petrol driven life for a change, and discover that there are worse problems than your petty differences with the police.

I'm done in here ...

[edit]... and I'm going to warn everyone who posts in this thread, that if there are any further personal attacks on anyone it will be locked, and warnings issued. If you can't discuss things without resorting to playground behaviour, then you don't get to play at all.[/edit]

As far as i'm aware the cars that hit that girl wer;nt racing as per a witness that saw it (correct me if im wrong, i have been away from Nz for a week)

I was annoyed about the paper callingt them boyracers with out first knowing the factsOne of my workmats said this to me one day: He was a boyracer cos he was driving a boyraer car, To which I replied, You must be a rapist then cos you have a Penis!

Yet he doesnt think theres anything wrong with drink driving - go figure

And as far as me siding with Boy racers on the Girl who got killed. Well I am a Firm Beilver Of Natrual Selection... She was stupid enough to cross a three lane street 40m from an interestion..... Um hello, 40m, for the sake of her still being alive it was an issue she was stupid enough to over look.

Actually they went down from $200.10 to $183.50, so $16.60 reduction per year.. so if your increase of $20 goes through (haven't had a chance of reading the paper yet, but havent seen any release about it) you will be paying a whole $3.40 more a year than you used to. Wow, what a DRASTIC increase.

Its not just boy racers that are boy racers, on sat i took my cefiro to pitstop to get a quote, on the way home 2 people tried to race me at the lights, one in andybay in a vvti camry and one up stuart st in a xr6 turbo and guess what? both were middle aged woman...

Also on sat night i was in a mates car and we ended up goin on the dragtrain, went out to henley to the usual place and few min later cops had both ends of the road blocked with checkpoints, no discrimination there the guy who checked us was really friendly and even joked with us about doing burnouts in his cop car lol, everything was in order so we were sent on our way
Mmmmm boost

I've got an easy solution:
Don't speed, don't race and you will be fine.

Its not quite that simple in all cases, often cops will target you if you're in a modified Japanese car, for the simple fact you're in a modified Japanese car.
Trust me, I used to get hassled quite a bit back in the day, even when not driving like a total cock.

Agreed. Ive driven a few modded cars now (2 low as GT4s, one with exhaust, and a low detomaso and very loud) and ive been pulled over once, which was just a random check. No fines. I dont drive like an idiot, infact im a very quiet driver now, i dont boost and i dont speed. Im not sure why i drive a turbo anymore

hah i know for sure i used to drive like a cock, doesn't mean i do now.

and as for the people who say, don't drive like a cock and you'll be fine, or, i'm not a boyracer. im a car enthusiast, i don't buy it, i don't care what you personally consider yourself as, at the end of the day it's what every joe public considers you to be, because they are the ones that try and make our lives harder. and people DO get hassled simply for being young in a modified car.

Haha... love it. I think it's all about how comfortable you are with ignoring the rules. I don't like driving within the road rules... I like driving the way I want to drive. Who the hell is a car enthusiast and wants to drive around at a sedate 'legal' pace?

This one comes up all the time, and it's just like children cussing out their parents behind their back. Except the parents are the cops. And the kids are the forum whores. And everybody is retarded.
