I was told red is one of the most "different" colour to make, something about a totally different pigment or something, and easy to fade, or something like that :/ Didn't know it costs more.

The paint itself ain't expensive, 500ml is approx $40, colour matched PPG.

If you really do decide to paint it yourself, prepare to spend 80% of the time preparing.

For my 2 sideskirts it was 2.5hrs sanding, 15mins masking, 3min primer, 1min for each coat x <insert number of coats>, and another 1.5hrs wet sanding, then 30mins - 1.5hrs of polishing, depending on how shiney you want it.

Give it to a pro if you don't want to DIY, but the quotes above is a good ballpark.

Match, Red and White, a ther bare so many variations and they are so noticable when they are slightly out.

I had tonnes of problems matching my primer colour.

Mine cost $3800 including inside/cage/engine bay etc. It was a drop off/pick up affair too.
