haha maybe!

just have to know when to shift etc.
iv driven more 4ages of all variants than i can count. and ppl unfairly diss the 20vs.

Haha. 20vs are by no means alone with unfair copping of flak. They are just particularly susceptible targets for such things because while many underrate them, its balanced out by people overrating them.

I swapped from a big port 4AGE to a silvertop in my club car, and the 20 valve power delivery is very nice. It's a smoother engine, and revs right through to the rev cut more happily than the 16v ever did. Plus, according to the speedo, the engine swap gained my 10kmh on every straight at Manfeild, and got me a couple of seconds a lap faster.

I get owned by blacktops though :)

But, the 3k in the Starlet is a much better engine in every way. Especially with all the rattles and knocks before the oil pressure gets up on start up :twisted: :twisted:

Thats standard on the K series, everyone knows that if it ISNT doing that on start up then you have serious problems :wink:

Warwick, you didnt tell them the car had no interior, and no engine or g/box

But was pretty impressed that thing actually manage to tow that weight. Trailer was reasonably heavy too!

exactly, maybe its because I'm driving an LSd as well? :lol:

I think maybe it stays at the speed in 4th, but it labours a little, so i change anyway cos it likes revving better anyway

The smallport definatley has more oomp for cruising up hills in higher gears
