Do you have trouble driving in a straight line? :P
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

yeah Mikey she's a totally nana shopping trolley my car!

I've only tried Drag racing a couple of times and it seems I suck at the start thing... which I've heard is rather important

Adamal: haha, yeah straight lines scare me... a track with all those corners is way less scary!

I've had a couple of offers to drive my car but it makes me nervous when it comes with "au bro I'll give ya car a trash for ya". I'd rather hand it over to Lith... :P Wanna practise on the Hutt Motorway?

Why not get in there Chelles? Learning to drag will help you immensely when you need to get that last park at pak and save

You can't be that bad anyway... my retarded uncles nephew ( ) can drop the clutch and watch a tachometer.

Hahahha old times... sure something could be arranged though ;)

You should race though - or you scared you might enjoy beating things down the strip too much and get straight line fever haha

You're right Chickenman... I'll be the quickest thing in the car park!!

Maybe I should give it a go, I suppose you're right there is only one way to improve and that is by doing. I better get some more weight out of the car then and see if she can slip under the 900kg with me in it :)

Lith... I always like beating boys thats what you are all for :P. Right! When the car is back together I'm off to find some abandoned back roads and practise my launches ha-ha see if I can improve my RT from .980 (or something just as nasty) and my best of 16.50. The car did a 14.92 with full interior, sub box and an experienced dragger… hrmm good to have a goal

This is true, but then there is rarely any 1600-2000 toyota's there for them to play with. I still laugh when i think of the look on the faces of a few dc2 and prelude drivers there in the warm up rounds. At the start it's like ha a 20 valve this will be easy and at the end it's like wtf i just got beaten by a 1600 toyota what will my friends say to me when i get back.
Funniest thing was i had about 3 guys all driving preludes come over to me after i'd beaten all 3 of them to see what i'd done or where i'd hidden the turbo or nos or something and walk away even more confused than they were straight after the race.
I still wonder what might have happened if i hadn't redlighted in the semi final, think i had the fastest 0-1600na time of the day damn stupid not running the tree i was used to, may have been the 1st toyta win in the class.
Think it would be a good idea to let the mivec's run as well, mix up the class's a bit and see what they can do, the only one i've seen capeable of sub 15's is bartmans old hatch or maybe still his hatch.

BTW Lith on of the preludes i beat was your's and i know it would have thrashed me if it didn't have broken headers. Still not sure what the story with the other 2 was tho

Haha I actually think I was driving my old Prelude when you beat it as well - remember I was given the keys because it was down on ET and trapspeed from what it had previously, so I drove it just to eliminate driver from it?? I managed a quicker time than it had that day - but still a good 5kph or more down on trap speed 8O

But you were on a good mission that day, that car of yours (or is it the driver haha) isn't normal ;)

hahaha :P There are plenty of sub 15 second mivecs, i ran a 15.1 pretty much standard (intake, extractors (stock zorst), 15s) with no lsd...infact there is a mivec running 11s which soon should be a little faster

I think Bartman ran around 14.3 in his Mivec quite a while ago. I wouldn't call intake and extractors aren't usually counted as pretty much standard - they're typically the biggest bang power mods on NA motors ;)

Is there an NA Mivec running 11s in NZ??? Where? Thats news to me 8O
