Man some surprising weights, both more and some less than I expected!

I really must weigh my cars. Would be good to get a before and after for the ae92 gtz. Although it already is minus all A/C stuff, the huge bulky $&#$% factory bracket for ps, alt etc.

Hoping both ae86 and ae92 will be below 1000kg's 8) A lot of turbo gear in the 92 though

1989 GZ20 Manual Soarer - 1250kg

Race spec stripped...

I'll have to weigh it again with the new engine, new seat etc... will probably have gained a few extra pounds but the additional torque and power will more than make up for it (besides, I've lost weight to offset that :D)

Hey - its not that heavy :P Thats including fuel etc, so dry weight would be <1370kg. Compare it to the other things listed with 2.5litre turbo motors haha.

One being my Soarer which clocks in at around 1580kg dry weight.

Haven't actually weighed it yet, once it's going again I'll get round to it.

Where abouts did you weigh it? At the tip? When I weighed the MR2, with me in it it said 1340kg, when I jumped out it went to 1240. I guess they cant be calibrated that finely.

We did a weighing session with the scales from my work at one of the TS evenings down here. Gotta love scales accurate to within 1kg up to 2000kg 8)

Yeah mine was weighed at the refuse near the bridge on Rangatikei street/Palmy. For what its worth mine is rated to weigh 1370kg from factory. The power/weight thing is a bit more flattering for my whale :)
