Was speaking with one of the brains behind the circuit at a meeting last night, apparently the circuit was approx 2 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule before the rains last week and they will shortly be taking bookings for 1/1/2009 onwards (he also gave me an indication of prices for hiring the circuit in different configurations, but I'll leave it for them to announce). It also sounds like they have very solid bookings for having driver training courses etc using the track during the week days so everything is looking good for them at this stage.
We know that four-wheel drive doesn't work in a racing car, and I proved to myself that it doesn't work very well for rallycross. I'm absolutely convinced that it has no future in rallying, either, even if the regulations allowed it. - Roger Clark (rallying legend), circa 1976
