i have a 1ggte in a kp 60.. it's nice to drive with a bucketlaod of torque, and sound cool on boosrt.
if you REALLY want a v6 though i'd reccomend a 6g72 mivec. (200kw) or maybe even the 3.5 mivec from a pajero. like the other guys have stated for ease of fitment why not chuck in a 4age/3sge or similar.
current cars:
Evo 4 230Kw atw
1971 mini.
79 bugeye 245kw atw.
Evo powered mx5 under construction

I have a pair of V6 Galants both have the 6A12 DOHC 24V MIVEC-MD engines which are good for 200hp@7500rpm. Although finding one cheap may be hard.

The Mazda V6 engines seem good but getting parts for them (like gaskets, bearings, rings etc) are rediculously expensive. For example a gasket set for a KZ V6 is over $500, compared to $220 for a gasket set for my 6A12. The Mazda V6s also have one cam per bank driven off the belt (or is it chain? I always forget) and have a scissor gear much like the Toyota F heads to drive the other cam on each bank.

If i was going to use a v6 for a project like this (old school rwd toyota or mr2) i would use the 1MZ-FE and supercharge it. The supper charged camry's made 205kw on 4psi boost, no intercooler. But i imagine it would be a very "lazy" 205 kw
