I bought plates for my Group A when they were around $380. For my Alfa my personalised plates cost just $73 off trademe!

The GF wants plates now, I've had to say no fekking way. Not for $700 bucks!

Anyone have any ideas on what those Euro looking black plates getting around are? I've seen them on a new holden and perhaps a VW or something. They look like the typical white-front or yellow-rear euro plates, but they're black background with white writing.

They look jolly nice (until every man and his dog gets them!!)

Yeah they're a new option, look great I reckon! Perfect to slam on an oldschool car that's been restored, for a more authentic look.

I have a wicked plate in mind for my ITR, but cost is so prohibitive

Ah really, that's good to know!

Wonder what sort of money they're worth to get your current plate remade in that look?

Hey Richard, thought that was you!.. na mine were $150 from UK. Took about a week to get here.

I have two sets as the first set was from germanplates.com and were not reflective! Look good on my workshop wall though!

I’ll take a photo tonight.

How long have you had the sticker on the front? i.e. have u passed a WOF with it??
I havn't attached my p.plate to the front of my car as I want a sticker but I've actually been driving round for the past 2 months with no plate or sticker on the front and I've had no probs at all.... (touch wood)

I've had no problems so far but I'm sure Xmas time when I do some mileage that will be the test.I drove around for awhile without a plate as well I just kept it in the windscreen but I just saw a Ferrari and a few Porsches with stickers so I just thouyght I'd get one and the rest is history.

Stickers are legal, sportscar guys use them. They have to be of set size etc.. contact some from a sportscar club, they should know the ins and outs
