I have seent he rayglas datsun many time, do you relise how much was spent on that motor

In my option i don't rate the sr20det that highly as a four cylinder turbo engine, I belive there are better option out there, I f i was looking at a nissan four cylinder turbo personally i would be hunting down a fj20det

But rember the 3sgte pown the sr20det no comparsion

Hamish did try for quite a while and spent quite alot of $$$ on of the 3t to try and make power but in the end they are a very old tech engine and it was very unreliable having endless headgasket problems and not being able to buy engine parts made it a nightmare. The gen 3sgte is a better engine than the SR to be fair but for the money spent and the results I think it was a pretty good choice. As for an FJ yeah there a very tough engine as has also been proven but it is also getting very hard to buy parts for them now, bearings etc
Current ride: Sweeeeet Hiace. 3L power!!!!

not saying sr20s are crap but even rod harvey admited the sr was a fragile motor but then again anything is fragile when theyr been pushed to their limits

Can't argue with the timeslips. Any motor that does 10s on standard internals is bloody good in my books. Good work to Hamish, thats pretty damned fast.
