i ahve a couple of intercoolers lying around. i think so far the best option will be the 1jz. but saying that if a 2jz came up at the right time for the right price i wouldnt hesitate to snatch up a bargin. looking at the expense side of things the 1 and 2jz are a pretty straight forward job with of course the usal like wiring, diff, driveshaft, sorcing a W58 gearbox. am still open to other options thoguh as i'm not going to start this untill next year

I would'nt put a W58 box behind a 1JZ or a 2JZ maybe try and source a R154.Stick with the factory turbo's on either 1JZ or 2JZ good for 400 plus HP on either motor and a good useable torque and power curve you'll be sweet.

whats wrong with a w5* series behind a jz? i know a few pple running them behind 1jz with zero hassles

r154 boxs are damn good but the price puts them out of reach of most pple

if you go 1jzgte i will push you towards the vvt-i single turbo 1jzgte, bit more tourqe than the first gen 1jz

or bmw gtrag boxs go for dam cheap so i would tend to lean towards making a good example of tuning your bmw engine to some good hp

The exhaust manifold in that kit is disgusting.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

flawless that car would be insane. i'd be happy with just the M3 motor NA. the rough of 6 cylinders with out the pssshhhh. i dont know if going to all the effort of turboing the 1.8l would be worth the effort, simple enough to bolt everything on but then tapping into oil wells (well im asuming i'd have to drill the block) means pulling out the engine any way and stripping it down. somthing to think about though. will get afew pics up as soon as i pick up my cambra and clean off the drunken boxing videos haha.

oh its a 1.8L you dont have the 2.0/3.0L six in your bmw woops i must of read that wrong

my bad

nah no drilling needed mate
just whip off your oil pres sender and tee into that, may have to weld/drill a hole in you sump for the return from the turbo but thats easy

shame too mate had a bmw 2.0L six that you could of had for free, but that went to the scrappy and brought beers for a fri night :P

really wouldnt bother with a sr20 as in my eyes they are new rotarys, or a rb engine, to highly strung and just arnt worth the $$$ ( watch me get flamed for saying that )

the ball is in your court, but if i could convince you, i would go bmw six, or jz series engine
better bang for you buck imo

good luck!!!!

Surely there would be a oil pressure sensor you could tee off for the oil feed. Failing that, just fit an oilfilter sandwich plate with tapped holes.

My brother had an E30 with a 2.5 bmw conversion. 325 maybe? It had a horrible gearbox though, it was like a truck.
