1.15.. not too bad, my old man was out there testing for a guy, an old cortina with a 200hp zetec engine. He managed 1.10s in that boat of a thing. 7s faster than the owner lol.

Where were you braking for the hairpin?

that would be the black and silver cortina my mate built, apparently the 'cosworth' engine made 170odd hp at the wheels.. he told me it has had around 80k spent on it. OUCH!!!
i'd imagine he wouldn't be mucking around on the corners to do that sort of time with f** all horespower.

that cortina is a pretty nice looking machine...

The one he did a 1.10 in has Koni sponsors all over it... and is owned by Peter Sutcliffe, this car has less HP than the silver cortina bahaha.

Your confused with another cortina, the silver one my dad built the cossy engine for, which made that power at the wheels which is pretty good considering the spec of the engine. I cant remember the time dad did in that one as he also test drove it for the owner, but I think the owner was doing like 1.2X and dad was doing in the low 1.1X.

You'll find most GPS units are only 1hz (e.g 1/sec)

Bluetooth gadget I got is 5hz but to be honest it doesn't appear to make much of a difference, plenty of guys use the 1hz receivers back to back with the 5hz and get *very* similar results.

I see baz, i guess they are coming back in popularity i would not have expected too many people would have been building old cortinas up these days... but if they do your old man is the bloke to test them!
