Honda vs Toyota trackday at Taupo on track 2. Run as a single car sprint day, with a MSNZ permit organized through a club official.

That track would give the Honda's the least advantage... doesn't mean they wont be quicker though

Neutral being giving cars with sticky tyres/aggressive suspension setups a huge advantage? ;)

That would be the same at any track though wouldn't it Dan? You still have to be able to corner fast at Pukekohe etc.

track 2 is good. last time I was down there on the full track it was the big straights that killed me.

I'd be keen as long as theres no date clash with real racing  (Gravel)

Nah I'll be able to organize clubsport events soon, will have COW license by the end of June.

Would be best to aim for a time later in the year eh?

Sounds like this could be a good event if someone did organise it.

Taupo track 2, bah slow and boring! feels like nana speed going around there. Track 1 is much better. Puke is also awesome, I love the bumps and the fast corners :D.

There are some pretty fast Hondas out there, more so than toyotas that i've seen racing.

Exactly :) Which made me wonder why a track which reduces the advantage extra power would give counts as neutral? There are a few parts which come together to make a complete package.

Mostly because it's a central location and track 2 is more affordable than track 1.

Could also do manfeild but might lose all the Hamilton/auckland hondas and toyotas. Manfeild is good for power and handling so would be a good test.

I'd be keen on a track2 honda battle... all the other tracks are too fast for me to consider myself as "competing", more likely "participating"

Heh, you would give a lot of 1600cc Hondas a run for their money I think.
