One of my mates bmx's got stolen from outside his work, later that day a guy was boasting about this new bike he 'obtained' so they guys posted the details of the bike on a bmx forum.
Took my mate 2 days to get his bike back, info was on the net within a few hours, a quick scope of the property and a nice phonecall to the cops

a mates car got broken into outside his house so a few days later he was on trademe and found someone selling his golf gear. so my mate ended up winning the auction and the seller gave him his address and my mate rung the cops and told them and the guy got busted haha
