id buy it.
if the motor was crap, sell off the turbo bits and pieces. by the time you sold the turbo bits and pieces and put a stock motor back in you would have yourself a very cheap trueno

Had been close to destroyed by muppets who shouldn't own cars. Here's a bit of a list:
1) Bent shocks presumably from sliding into curbs
2) Everyone of the previously brand new mags really really badly curbed
3) Running spark plugs that are far far too hot
4) Compression right down on one cylinder
5) wiring messed up
6) Car riced up with fake bonnet scopes etc.
7) Ali intake pipe worn through from being put on wrong and rubbing on body
Wastegate barely bolted on resulting in massive exhaust leak being directed at the radiator and damaging the radiator.
9) Front guards with cracked paint and big kinks through the panels from some sort of attempt to roll the guards (which never scraped in the past anyway)
10) Bolts generally missing from things in the engine bay that you really don't want then missing from.
11) Some sort of gangsta Toyota painted on the back in some sort of weird thick paint...
etc etc etc
So anyway car has pretty much been thrashed for a few years and is in pretty bad nick. We assumed based on the price that it was far from perfect, but didn't quite imagine this level of mistreatment.
Anyway, on to the good news. My brother had planned to throw some coin at it to fix it up, and I happened to have a 7afe sitting in my garage with only 15,000kms on it. Thanks to Brendan (who use to do Niteparts) the major issues have been dealt with, and the car is now running a 7afte with a road tune from Brendan.
Still needs a few minor things, plus a lot of body work (prob a respray) but it is back to running fairly well.
With the 7afte it is a pretty quick little car now. Will put up some pics at some stage.
