Join a local car club. There are quite a few around and they run events of varying types to suit all kinds of cars / driver abilities. This is a general post and not directed at anyone in particular. But if people are really motivated to take part in such events, then research what the local clubs offer and sign up. If people can't be bothered doing that, then they are the same people that say yeah yeah i'm keen etc, then don't show up and wonder why events don't get organised.

If I had a hack car i'd be a member of a local car club and would take part in as many events as I could afford. Sadly all my money goes on hookers and blow.... uhhh cars that don't even go I mean.

Its nearly 1.2km long and has a nice split half way,one goes to the house and the other to the workshop, plus there is 4 paddocks of flat land you can use.

10 bonus points for you my friend!

Discussions on an Auckland meet should probably be in the Auckland forum.

I for one have found the passage of time has had an influence... married, kids, job, and other stuff I do, means I can't spare time to hit the meets anymore.

Over to the next generation of Toyota fans...???

Where's a place that's quite central to everyone? Sylvia park or even East Tamaki for go-karting?

its a bit far from me for me to do regular (i live way north auckland) - but once i get the levin going ill pop in from time to time :-)

beauty of tsoobs idea was that its on the way home for me  but apreciate its probably out of the way for most

could part of the problem be that auckland is so damn spread out?

Yes, distance would be the main problem. Im 1/2 an hour south of Auckland (non rush hour) So its a little bit of a drive to get there.
Although i dont mind, i love having a wee drive to get to a meet.
