Next question then is:

Would a stock mechanical water pump with the engine running at idle, and electric radiator fans on full blast, be enough to cool an engine down after a bit of a track session? Or do they only really start pumping enough water once the engine's RPM increase?

Based on my corolla GT with partially blocked radiator.

I was having issues as only a corrosion inhibitor had been added, so no coolant. After some track time I came off and stalled, due to the starter being a bit weak I couldn't start and the water started to boil in the top tube as there was no flow.

Now when this had happened previously, water had been boiling, I was able to get it started and due to the flow at idle it was able to cool down.

Adding coolant 'fixed' this issue, (still suspect I have a partially blocked radiator, but haven't got to fixing this yet)

So yes even just some flow helps, as it allows the heat to be transferred. Whether it is enough for your application is another question though - a few variables to work out there.

...and I was about to say, Why not leave the car idling with the fans running? A fan override switch seems a lot cheaper and simpler.

Very tempting to get the $135AUD EWP80

Should be well under $200NZD once shipping is accounted for.....

Not too bad really!

The EPW80 pump in the first link is $125 AU which is $160 NZ atm , so will be close to NZ$200 with freight so still cheaper than here unless it craps out .
I was looking at them a while ago and BNT had the 115ltr alloy pump with the digital controller for $495ish , be worth checking them for price.

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

would it be worth running one of these on a NA Silvertop 4AGE?

or jus run the belt system as per normal?

im trying to fit a 4AGE into an EP82 so trying to make space in as many places possible

if not needed il jus go with the belt system

Electric water pump will take up more space than the toyota one once you add the piping etc in. Unless the toyota one happens to be trying to occupy the same bit of space as something else (like a master cylinder) then I'd stick with that.
