The last time flew from wellington to Melbourne I had a set of cams, cam wheels, bolts, bits of quad throttle bodies.. having said that they were shrink wrapped/ boxed up etc.

meanwhile, checked in luggage consisted of two metal tool boxes full of tools and an engine head...

seriously:-

- clean clean clean
- package thoroughly
- dress neatly
- triple check your weight allowance/ order extra weight ahead of your flights
- don't be a retard when you go to the check in/ answer sensibly and don't get excited =

success.

I wasn't allowed an 8" adjustable spanner that I accidentally left in my backpack flying domestic a few years back!

My brother nearly got a set of feeler gauges (my xmas present) confiscated because they were slightly blade-like :s.
