I hope Davide Valsechi gets a job as a comments man if he misses out on a seat. BBC had him on a few races ago on Friday and was the best they have had all year.
Ferrari never take on young drivers so no surprise they would take Kimi over Hulk when Kimi put his hand up.
And I think Williams need a mature driver, I am pretty sure I have read they have taken on a few new engineers/designers so need stability and experience in the cockpit.

Yes, his commentary is great. Always nice to have a current driver up in the box occasionally, although Im sure he would be wishing he was out on track.

Jaime Alguersuari was very good in that role, and highly intelligent too. I think he would be a champion given the time and equipment...such a shame he was dropped by Helmet, as I doubt he will ever get his foot back in the door, and at 23 ???

As expected, Jan Magnussen was confirmed today as McLarens second driver, to partner JB for 2014.

He certainly is jumping in at the deep end, and although his season in Renault 3.5 was nothing short of spectacular, F1 isnt called the Piranha club for nothing.

Word is that Perez might end up back where he came from, with Sauber, and more than likely, with Maldonado...that will do the team so harm as both come with very big backing from Telmex, and PDVSA. Where that leave Sergei Serotkin is anyones guess, but the payments from his Russian backers are still to materialize so I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up as their thrid driver for 2014, and gets to share FP1 throughout the year with the view to a seat in 2015.

Well the race wasnt super exciting, but a record breaking 1.923 second pit stop for Mark Webber deserves celebrating...JESUS H CHRIST ON A BIKE!!!!!!!

And why are Force India keeping Sutil over di Resta. Unless di Resta has a seat in a different car.

Di Resta is in no mans land at the moment so I dont think anybody knows where he will end up, although going back to DTM is an option, as is a spot in the IRL.

Hulkenberg is going back to Force India, but Sutil hasnt been confirmed so its no guaranteed that Di Resta is gone yet.

I wonder if Perez will get his old seat back at Sauber, but will it be with Sergei or Esteben?

Regarding the race, I was praying for rain the entire time lol. Mark drove a great last race, and it was a real shame that Seb hadnt driven past the pit entry just before Lewis took out Bottas, as that would have been Marks day, but of course Seb always get the fair rub of the green lol. Either way, it was great to see Mark end his F1 carreer on a high like that

Roll on 9 weeks time when the first vacuum cleaners will hit the track at the first tests...so many unanswered questions will finally be there for all to see...no more hypothesising.

Pity Kimi sat out 2 races. 5th in points. Would have been a favourite for 3rd otherwise

Even though there is no doubt that Kimi's back needed attention, I cant help but feel that there was a little bit of tactical play going on there.

If Lotus has come second in the constructors championship, they would have had 10s of millions more to help them continue to develop next years car. Now they dont have that money, it has weakened their team, and strengthened Ferrari's position, no matter how you choose to look at it.

EDIT: Not to mention, Kimi would have about as much interest in attending the Paris prize giving later in the year, as he does in media commitments lol

Woohoo, seasons over! Hopefuly next season brings some excitement to the table and someone can go head to head with Redbull.

This season was right up there with the 02 and 04 Schuey domination, impressive in a way, but boring as a racing fan. I actually gave up watching this season, first time since 93/94 that I have ever missed a race.

You are right, very reminiscent of 02/04. Although, I could never miss a race, regardless of how much a driver is dominating, as to me, F1 is about so much more than just the hour 2 hours on sunday night, and also, about more than just the race for first.

But I can completely understand how, and why it puts people off.

For the record, there have been amazing battles this year, just not for the lead lol

F1 is strange in that its probably the only sport in the world were people get sick of 1 persons continued success.
