well I did some more work on this today. I was hoping to be assembling the engine but the block wasn't ready until this evening, so here's today's progress:

I've added some steel sides to the rear of the duct that goes into the front. These overlap with the steel sides on the shroud that goes over the top of the radiator. They will bolt together, and be fairly easily removable should I need to take the radiator out or something when this is all done. I finally picked up my clamps and stuff from my mate's place which have made life so much easier! Anyway, as usual click to see a bigger image:

And a couple of quick pics to show how these bits go together:

So, having done that I moved on to the bonnet. As you may remember I planned to raise the recessed part before the vent up so it was flush with the rest of the bonnet, so here goes:

Most of the fibreglass on the top of the bonnet will actually be sanded off, it's mostly there for strength at the moment, once the underside has been fully glassed up I will be able to start on making the top presentable.

And finally, here's what the bonnet looks like underneath:

To make the bonnet seal properly, I have kept the piece that sits against the seal and when I'm done it will be glassed back in to place so the bonnet should seal as normal, and I will have no leaks! I hope...
