It was my first time drag racing, and it was heaps of fun!
It was heaps more fun than I thought it would be!
Even though my driving/times were shitty.

I got four runs in, and the best I managed was a 14.7

Reaction times were approximately the same length of time as the Mesozoic Era.

2.1 sec 60 ft time, 155kph trap speed.
I definitely have a lot of room for improvement, I should be good for low-flat 14s with my setup, maybe scrape some high 13s with a few mods.
Should be able to get a >2.0 sec 60ft time anyway, other MR2s with similar setup get around about 1.9-2.0 sec 60fts.
Notes for next time:
1. Get my tacho working, so I actually have an idea of what RPM I'm launching/shifting at.

2. Learn how to do burnouts properly. I only did a pitiful burnout on my 3rd run, it seemed to help a little. (I've never actually tried to do a burnout in this car before

3.Lower tire pressures perhaps? I didnt even think about that at the time, heh.
4.Get engine actually running properly before thrashing it more.

5.New exhaust system. The standard cat + muffler just aint cutting the mustard.

6. Maybe put my port/polished head onto that engine too, if I can be bothered.
However, I think that the biggest thing that would help would definitely be a tacho and maybe a shift light, I was shifting gears based on speedo estimations, but either hit the limiter or short shifted most of the time.
I didnt really take into account that I wouldnt be able to hear the engine too well through my helmet.
And 7. more practice!
Anyway, enough with the excuses.

All in all: Great fun! I will definitely be back.
