my exhaust is in the factory position, right below(and round the corner from) my filler cap...

so... yeah... you might want to put that one in the urban legends area too.

I don't think my car would be a random, they seem to be common enough overseas.

Checked out a couple of other toyota's the other day and there seems to be no hard and fast rule.

One had a big fuel door ladel with an arrow on it and the other one was just wrong, pump handle on the right, fuel door on the left, but the owners thought that it was which side of the speedo the fuel guage was on but this dosn't hold true for most cars either.

It seems the rule is, there might be an indicator of which side it is but there might not, so just bloody check and then remember it.

on my ke30 the exauset and fule cap are on the left...
i remeber because of the big lump of crome on the side of my car that is my fule cap :lol:

also on the subject of bonnets... would ANYONE happen to know how the hell you open the bonnet on a brand new roles royce phantom or whatever it was...
my mate and dad were looking round on my uncles one for ages with no luck :( would have been a pritty site under the bonnet im sure
