Was hoping for a better finish from 888 myself. Lowndes was really gunning it after his 'bad' pit exit.

Did they work out what was wrong with his clutch in the end? i remember Lowndes saying that it could be something to do with the thrust bearing...

good effort all round tho. Would have like to see it taken by 888 for the 4th consecutive win, but hey what can you do bout it?? smash the holdens next time

They didn't actually say although he did say they could still use it just had to pull it up off the floor manually, who else though that 3's coverage was rpetty poor, just about everytime they went to an add break something important happened, and they weren't in sync with the aussies for there add breaks and i won't even bother starting on the 15 mintes right near the end when thy decdied to put the news on, shoul have switched coverage to 4 if they were that worried about getting the news on tv

The News was an unnecessary interruption, why couldn't they have delayed the news or just as Loudtoy said switch coverage to 4.

I agree good finish :)

i couldnt get over how every time there was an ad break, something real interesting happened. i.e. car 6 catching on fire!

coverage was weak as!

good to see some mid race rain to throw the cat amongst the pidgeons.

I think we can all agree:

$&#$% YOU RICK KELLY!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I've seen the latest AA Week out of Aus and they had a good interview with Murphy and Skaife and Skaife went onto say the problems the Sprint Gas car was having and the things Murphy has been saying about it are valid as Skaife picked up on them when he had driver days in the build up to Bathurst.

I to have gone off Murphy but he seems to be able to find the required levels to perform at Bathurst for some reason. He is as quick as anybody around there now why he can't do it for the hole championship who know's but he has to be a top 5 favourite everytime he lines up at Bathurst.

Anyone know what happened to Van Gisbergen? Was up there the whole race but ended up being the last one on the lead lap at the end :?

Inadvertantly knocked the kill switch off during a driver change at the last stop cost them 40sec in the pits trying to start it then realising kill switch was off

The new rotors and pads that went on at that same stop must also not have done the business there was radio chatter about them being a rubbish package

I would have liked to have seen them there at the end

Anything done about the 888 car "nudging" it's way through onto front straight near the end of the race?

no, why should there be? rather bargwana should have been given the bad sportsman flag for blocking, he made 2-3 moves off the racing line to cover his line and then didnt give room when whincup was alongside.
so he ended up where he deserved.
tanders hit on kelly was worse

Just the fact the car he hit ended up sitting the wrong way. Isn't blocking allowed (with in reason) close to the end of a race anyway?

Was the tander/kelly hit the one on the one up in the hill, gave him a nudge so that he could slip up the inside. I too was a little surprised nothing was done or said about that.

your allowed one move off the line to cover your self
bargs was virtually zig zagging, then made contact while being passed...
