I to can vouch for the old GSD3's I'd kill to get another set.You can still get them off tirerack.com.

I have'nt come across another tyre as good in the wet as those GSD3 F-1's they were unreal even managed a low 1.22 odd back in the day in the wet at Manfield also.

So this. My old MR2 was tamed in the wet with that rubber.

I've got Goodyear F1's on my daily BA falcon. They are awesome and a lot better than I thoight they would be for a big car on 235's.

I find them great in the wet and exceptional in the dry. I've almost done 10000kms on them now in the last 2 months and they are wearing well considering how I drive.
You have to be doing something pretty silly to get them to let go, I've pushed them hard and only got them to let go once (mainly due to worn shocks bottoming out though)

1i1 - you should have a chat to nick about the goodyears he has some really good pricing on them!

Depends how fussy you want to be but I fail to see why you would need anything grippier than a f1.

Quite happy with the RE002's on the Corolla ATM. They're black, round, pass WOF's and (touch wood) have more than enough dry or wet weather grip for how I drive. :P
Done over 20,000km on them in the last two years with minimal wear really, should at this rate will be another two years away from needing replacing
