Made up some brackets to provide adjustment for ignition timing for my distributor, running a 3au distributor on my 4age running twin side drafts, the distributor can't be bolted up to the 4age head holes. Using 10mm alloy. Probably very overkill for what I want but at least it'll work.

Got 2 torque converters cut open.

Looks like my mystery one I have had in the car is high stall and has been strengthened, since it is out of the car I am going to get it rebuilt, redo the lock up clutch and maybe the bearings if they seem a bit dodgey. Apparently it is from Gearbox Solutions, whoever they may be.

As with the gearbox, the orginal torque converter look like new inside.

countersunk and o-ringed all the fuel fittings on the fuel rail.. engine bay no longer gets a fine mist of petrol all over it when the pump runs. Might be able to take it for a drive this weekend.

Chopped 103mm off my gearbox shifter to bring it further forward....might take another 46mm off tomorrow if it doesn't measure up just right tonight.

Had Nick at Mag n Turbo Palmy give the Corolla another wheel alignment today. He recommended reducing front camber from 2degrees down to 1.5 just to help the front tyres last a bit longer, which he did. Then proceeded to tell me off, that the rear alignment was still perfect after three trackdays and quite a bit of road use. His words were "not using enough of the track!"

I only run -1.5 in the front, and -1 on the rear, to avoid destroying tyres too quickly, but I would REALLY love to know what the car feels like to drive on the track with some more camber in the front.

If only there were some adjustable arms available that could be run legally, and adjusted quickly. I would be all over them in a flash lol

I probably wouldnt mind but even though the Corolla is a second car it still does roughly 10k a year so would like the tyres to last a couple of years.

Also talked about adding a bit more caster through new top hats. Might be a project in the new year.

Yep in the TA22...haven't put the box back in yet to see exactly where it sits but should be better than before.
