any way, i think the w58 will be the second thing to blow, my money is on the factory altezza diff to go first.
im hoping the w58 hangs in for a lil while it is a late model unit with low kms on it, i cant see adam shelling out for a decent r154 or getrag box in a hurry

Good move the R154 won't be as good as the Getrag and it will be harder to find diffs well what you should try and get is 93-95 RZ big diff but you could probably get away with a RZ Auto small diff difference being the final drive ratio 3.26 for the big and 3.77 for the small.I no when the Croyden's Supra used the W58 5-speed box he was breaking alot of parts in the gearbox and just rebuilding all the time...

With the bigger engine you might want to have a good look at a suspension and brake upgrade aswell.Especially stiffer spring rates up front with the added weight of the 2JZ.For me it will be interesting to see how good it drives when you get the car up and running with everything soughted... :D

No one ever said it won't work..... Ever seen the movie "Misery" where that woman kidnapped that dude and "stumped him" so he couldn't get away etc? Sure, it solves her problem of being lonely or bored - but that doesn't mean that its a recommendable way of doing it.
