I was simply suggesting that just because your opinion on something differs to mine doesn't mean that I'll go changing my methods. I get the results that I do because of what I've been taught to do and it seems to work for me. Some people think/do things the same way as me and others (like you) don't. Not a big deal, it's a free world. If what you think/do works for you then power to you. I don't claim to be more knowledgeable than anyone else on any topic. All I'm saying is your opinion isn't the only one - it may be the one that works best for you but it's not the only one. Everyone has different thoughts and methods and ultimately they get much the same results so who really cares how they get there.
/thread?
I got 450hp at the engine from a CT26, once I'd calculated transmission losses. Cool

Na even Robin told me its about 4 to 5% lower than it should be.solitaire wrote:audi man wrote:This as been good reading , Well i have been useing torque performance for about 3 years and as for me i have found dave a very good tuner but as for dynos i found torque was the only one that could hold my car and yes there dyno does read low but if your useing the same dyno all the time who cares, and by the way my supra rip was the highest hp car that has been on the dyno.
Hmm... I thought it read high? My stock sw20 read 142kw... 18 year old ct26 and all.
Justins v6 mr2 would have more torque but less power to get the same trap speediOnic wrote:Had my MR2 on Torque Performance's roller dyno. Got 207kw which equated to 109/110mph trap speeds at Meremere. As a comparison Justin's V6 MR2 got the exact same number on Speedtech's Dynapack hub dyno and the same trap speeds at Meremere. Al's MR2 also had similar power to both of the above and he also got similar trap speeds. Sean's MR2 is in the same boat...
Go figure.
