Haven't had a chance to drive a GT86 yet, but tbh if I was looking to spend the best part of $50k on a 'fun' car I'd be far more tempted by this uuber rare Lotus Esprit V8 (which I have driven, and it's mega!)

Actually I appreciate the engineering performance and reliability of the LFA over everything else...Nevermind the comparisons with anything else being a track-day enthusiast and a TOYOTA Supra owner which also has a good deal of engineering thrown at it makes me appreciate the LFA even more.

It's very rare you get a used car with <1000kms, where you know almost the exact service history, where you had the choices of trim levels, colors, gearboxes, factory options etc. Those are the pro's of buying a new car, although most will argue they aren't worth the drop in value once you drive it off the lot
