Still can't belive the immature nature of the posts on here. Nobody listens to me but I'll say it again anyway.

There is no 'quick fix' to the 'boyracer problem'.

The 'boyracer problem' is simply a syptom of the spastic amount of value you get from owning a car in NZ.

You want to fix the 'boyracer' issue? Take away the fscking carparks in town, build a fscking public transport system.

Welcome to the fscking rest of the fscking world, where car ownership is not next to godliness, nor is it as necessary as a loaf of bread.

Good on the council on the shore for building the busway. Let's see them take it a step further and add light rail. And let's see the rest of the councils in auckland step up to the same thing, instead of building more fscking roads~!!!!

Yes I have gone over the speed limit...but that manly concists of me doing 110-120kms on the motorway and the motorway ONLY!

We are all here bish'in about the dumb &*%& that does over TWICE the limit in a residential area (we arent here saying we are perfect)...and then we will end up wearing the blame for it!
Would you be happy to have ur Honda rocked/egged by the general public just cause they see you as one of the idoits that does double the speed limit in residential areas???
We have Meremere, but as that would be to far away for him to drive and still be angry at having a small penis or what eva the ^*&% he was angry about (eg. if meremere was open 24hrs), then he would do the speed in the residential area reguardless of having a legal place to do it or not.

Yes snwtoy ur right...but even with a decent public transport system in place, there will always be something else to bish about.

Our parents used to do it...the only diference is they used to do it with bikes/tanks/horsedrawn-cart

And realistically, we all have our times and places which we go alot faster than legal.

For some who do it the proper way they do it on the track, however for most of us it would be a back/ rural road.

And for all of the more considerate people who belong in this bracket, an available venue would be a good thing.
Dunno about Auckland, but in Wellington the track is usually about 1 - 2 months (wait time), $80 gas, $100 entry, and a 2 hour drive away.
All of the "Take it to the track" people can go get a dose of reality.

This problem will always be there. Ill be the first to say i have done very crazy speeds on public roads, but i'm sure i'm far from the first to have. I just dont get caught...

Illegal drags have always been going on, in my fathers days they had them on quay street, now its moved out to the suburbs. If mass meetings like that, sometimes hundreds of cars, cant be stopped how do you stop one kid doing 180+ on a public road?

Building this and that wont do shit, just take his car off him, take his license off him and make him sit some sort of responsible driving course.
And IMO fining him wont do shit, too many people have thousands of fines and just pay them off weekly, they don't care if a extra $500 gets thrown on.

$&#$% off dick.

He could have picked anything. Just so happens that most hondas (crx no less) are VERY easily remembered by the general public that they are "boy racer" cars.

Your big rant before about how stupid we are for bagging this guy that is driving too fast in town is WRONG.

I HAVE NOT DRIVEN 180KM AROUND HOUSES. I would think 99% of us here have no done that. So $&#$% up. $&#$% you piss me off.

Back to the topic, method, you are correct. I agree with everything you have said.

Whoa chill out guys - All friend here eh? We will get this thread locked at this rate :D

Totally aggree with method, you hit the nail on the head mate.

Infinites sugegstion that stalker is the same as that kid is highly offensive. Why launch into the thread and start swearing your head off? whats gone wrong with your day?

Speeding on a backroad and speeding in a residential area are miles apart Infinite, you know that. (doesnt mean that either are not wrong... but there are different levels of stupid - its all about calculated risks)

The crimes getting caught yo. Agree with method also.

Bring in Aussie type road rules, zero tolerance if its really that big a deal.. Honestly im more worried about getting burgled, robbed, bashed or mugged than being hit by a boy racer doing 180kph..

Sorry Infinite, I wasnt just baggin Hondas. It was the first thing that came to mind...any car is what I meant!
Put it this way then...imagine if you owned the "Madbaz" supra (I have an old NZPC mag here and its on the cover..first thing thats come to mind) and that uber sexy car lived on a trailor, and only drove on the roads for meets etc, now imagine if you had put ur blood, sweet, and tears into that car to make it the sexy car it is today, just to have some dick head throw a rock at it just cause he read the newspaper the day before and saw a boy racer doing those speeds....

+1 for methods and pjay's idea!!!

At the end of the day, this is a fourm, not a cage match, why make shit personal....

Errrr - hang on a minute. They followed him for 3km's at that speed??? If we go on the same "driving course" that the police go on, does that make it ok for "us" to do 180kmph for 3km?

Maybe the person ran from the police... Or didnt stop for the lights? Or becase they were drunk they didnt notice the lights? Or maybe the cop was doing 80km, had to stop, wait for a gap in traffic, turned around, and had to past several cars before he caught up to them, in that time covering 3km?

Maybe there was a helicopter following him, because that's more likely, that at 5am there just happened to be a police helicopter standing by that part of the motorway..........

Uhh. I know it looks cool to bag on the cops but it clearly states that they were on a motorway, and at 180k, three kilometers would go by in what, one minute? What are you trying to say, the cops should've let him go? Because there's so many people at risk on some Christchurch motorway at 5am over a one minute period, right?

I'm not bagging on cops to "look cool"

I think the guy's a fu&cking idiot for going that fast - but you just contradicted yourself - if there's no-one to risk, whats the problem?
