Neons, i kno its rice but.....

Postby SpeedRacer » Wed Oct 05, 2005 1:55 pm

Hey, was given a set of green neons for my birthday by my little brother, so I thought it would be nice to install them.

I've chosen to put them under the dash so they glow on your feet. They are very bright and im sure they can bee seen outside. My delema is wether to hook them up and have them going when the key is on, Have them only when the lights are on, or hook them up to the door switches and have the left one go one when the left door is opened and the right for the right door etc.

So... tell me what you think....

cheers for the info, thought of hookin up 2 the door switches would be cool so wen the doors open, the neons come on and light up the whole foot space but it would be bigger job than just havn them on constantly.

anyone got any other ideas of how to hook these up in an interesting way so its not just rice?

isnt that the point of a forum? to find out what others think and decide then on whether its a good idea based on the opinion of others who have been there already?

Doors are alright. But its not like you have you're doors opened much... so you won't get to 'show them off' alot...

I had some under the dash too...

Find the trigger wire for the curticy light, mine is found going up the drivers side a piller, i think its black with a white stripe, the wire is a positive until such time as the door is opened when it turns into a negitive, tap a line off that wire and run it and the neons to a relay...do you know how to use a relay?? If not, i cant remember the numbering for a relay, its 38 something something somthing  Youl find all the info on using a relay on google.
