Postby aesc » Wed Nov 09, 2005 1:21 pm

Looks like im going to be buying some TRD springs but I just wanna see what they look like in the car with regards to ride height. If you have TRDs can you post up a pic in profile for me please? :D

Yeah I have seen a pic of Tims, are you sure he hasn't 'modded' them in any way, cos it looks pretty low! Yeah even is what I want, seems very rare to get

True, that looks alright. Im sure S/S is pretty much similar, as the rears are the same like you say Warwick. Cheers for the pic 8)

Whats the drop on the trd lowering springs?
& whats the cost for a set? Cause i have sum unknown lowering ones in the back (ex japan) But its still the same height in the front so was wanting to make it even. Guess to be safe i should get a whole set.

Claimed drop is 20-30mm but I have been told its closer to 30mm. TRD springs have trd imprinted in white on one of the coils so you may be able to check that way. TRDs are avail in pairs too. As for price they are no more expensive than other brand lowering springs

Silly me. Here I was thinking that this thread was going to be about AE101/AE111 handling after fitting TRD springs.
Well... maybe I am immune to bling. I can only think of performance and handling!

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

That was a helpful post....

Ok then, for you:

TRD springs give a huge increase in the control of my car, it feels alot more stable, corners a shit load flatter, and is gernally more fun :D. And it isnt too bumpy when cruising around ethier. Prefect mix really 8) TRD did a great job with them.
