And that oil goes in THAT hole, and water in THAT one.

How long did the belt last for?

A girl at work put 2L of water in her block last week 8O . MX6.
Oil and radiator are kinda close to each other. Advised her not to drive the car at all! I then proceeded to drive home lauging my ass off!

I mechanic I know once had a woman come in who had used the correct oil, however she had filled the engine up, the same way you would fill your radiator...

When I worked at BP I had an asian girl insist on diesel because it was cheaper, she thought I was trying to rip her off telling her she needed petrol.
Damn language barrier.
She got the petrol though in the end.
As funny as it would have been to just let her use the diesel :P

You work at Halswell or something aye?

A guy I know went there and put 91 in his diesel and drove all the way home without realising, thats like 40kms or something and it broke down in the driveway. It only took a bleed of the fuel system and it works as good as new, no damage to the engine. Good ol' reliable toyotas.

I heard from HRT that they had a hilux in their workshop, had been through a lake or something stupid....

Pulled the air box off, filled with water.. all piping, had water in it too..

pulled piping to turbo off, compressor filled with water..

ok fine..

removed cylinder head, engine filled with water X_X. seems it had been running when it took the plunge.

removed all water, cranked it up, and she ran just fine..... Didnt bend a rod or anything X_X. YAY FOR TOYOTA! lets see a honda do that :D

lol, a bit like the hilux on topgear last year that got washed out to sea. That started up after a drain also.

seen the oil filled to the top of the filler several times. as with oil filled up into the radiator (not a hg, the people just thought that was the filler).
brake fluid in the windscreen wiper squirters (nasty mess)
lol, some people really should have to sit 'normality' tests before trying to do any diy work!
Cant believe im still a member here.
