Toyspeed have begun to progressively forbid the creation of new Profile accounts via Free mail domains.

its just NEW accounts, as No8 has highlighted. so if your Allready a user via a Free Mail account your not going to suddenly lose access.

Any account thats FREE aka easy to use for baned / spammer users will not longer be able to be used.. That help answer at all.

Not really...it's exactly the same thing was said previously.

He wants to know whether what you guys have configured will know not to ban a user that is using a paid hotmail account instead of a free one?

Can what you guys have done distinguish between paid and free hotmail accounts? :wink:

No, unfortunetly IIRC its domain name level filtering - so unless hotmail $ gives you a different domain option thats going to be problematic.

i didn't pay for mine, but got upgraded to it somehow, just randomly checked, and got 2 gig storage and all the goodies that come with the plus account

guess i'm glad that i've already got toyspeed on my hotmail account

Profiles or forums?

Profiles - the only thing that is disabled is new signups. if you hold your user/pass you can login to edit details.

You shouldnt be signing up with an invalid one.
And you can't supply a 'free' domain as a contact address anymore. Did you not notice the whole point behind this thread?

Orcon we'll simply be monitoring closely.
It won't be hard to have Orcon users tracked back to the source on an as required basis.

If we wind up having to block Orcon, well, thats not out of the question either...
