Would it be referring to metric horsepower?

it Is refering to PS, very close mesurement to KW( Kilowatts) i think you should find.

If setup correctly ( using the G sensor etc ) it will give a fairly close KW out put of your car, Requires ACCURATE setup of the Gearbox setup As well as the G sensor.

Its closer to Hp than Kw because my car is 100ps but 75Kw and I think about 98hp or something but I will have to check that.

Yep, PS is very close to HP (1 PS = 0.9863201652997627 hp (SAE) to be exact).....it actually is a German term (Pferdestärke = horse strength)

Basically its metric horsepower although its obsolete now (replaced by the Kilowatt)....You still see it being used on Japanese cars a lot though (ie on Gran Turismo the HP is shown as PS)

thanks for the reply guys...

but doesnt hp/ps mean the power of the engine? not meaning how much power you get at a certain speed...?

so does that mean, i have 1 hp/ps at 10km/h ...

thanks

The amount of HP/Ps your car has will vary as it goes through it's rev range, it shouldn't/doesn't pertain to a particular speed, but I guess if this little device is smart enough it could be mapping revs to G forces then it may be able to figure it out... but I doubt if it could do that.

according to that thing, yeah, but I think it is probably wrong
