$&#$% for 10gs you could built one to that spec and put a deposit on a house. and what about homos who get pissed of when people tell them the car is not worth that, you dont see them buying it do you.

funny because i know a guy who built a 2tg to that spec except with quad thorlte injection not carbs which hes using which are cheaper, for $3500
with supra gbox etc. my mates rb26 owes him less than 10k and its got 680rwhp+ Vs 180rwhp 4age for 10k get $&#$% real. ive built 4ages, 3tgtes before and its so easy its not funny so that c**t must have got overpriced for the parts or just talking shit. because parts dont cost that much.

if its such a good buy why the $&#$% is it still not sold.

Agee, a Lynn Rogers job. The car would prob cost you that and prob more to build, but the whole false bidding thing gets up my nose. Any genuine bidders will spot that, and now have no trust in the process or the seller.

My Dad owned that about 7years ago when it was standard. It's had more than 25k spent on it. That body kit was something like 6k same as the wheels. It would have to be the nicest ae86 I have ever seen, if I had the money I'd buy it! :(

BS.

the pistons and cams alone would account for most of that.
new webers are like $800 each........

I hate it when people buid up to the reserve just to find out what it is with no intention to buy.

Maybe the seller had the same idea I use sometimes which is to set a super excessive reserve for a start,
and then the day before the auction reset it to a realistic price.

And bidding like that just stuff's it all up.

interesting
but you see if wanted to go hardcor you would use teh n1 spacer and bores giving you a 3 litre rb26

trouble is thats 30 grand right there

i love people that dissmiss things because tehre out of there reach

BTW ive built a few 4ages too and i know its not hard to sink massive money into one

lest spec some stuff brand new aye

trd rods....6 grand full retail
forged pistons ...........1300 for somethign rensoble
a ecu to run it
lest say a nice little m4

2800 ish

OMFG ive just spent nearly 10 grand and i havent even really started

i guess realisim isnt one of your strong points
BTW you coudl so teh rods cheaper but teh trd speced are differnt to teh generic h beam carrillos you can buy

yeah a 4agze block with turbo + mcricotech comp 280 to 300hp $5000 tops
as for the rb26 just a old rb30e block with cromolly rings and bearings balanced with rb26 head and gt35 turbo easily made 680rwhp on 22psi

every c**ts like if i had the money i would buy it

dreams are $&#$% free!!!!

and to the c**ts who think its hard to build 4ages get real it only takes a day to build it complete as a long block i should $&#$% know as i do this as a job.

Look above you, that's the point of the post flying right over your head.

He said 4A-GE, not 4A-GTE, or for that matter 4A-GZE, i.e. a normally aspirated motor. If you can build a reliable 200HP 4A-GE engine for $5000 then you'd have them lining up around the block for your services. I'd doubt it could be done for less than $10,000.

and to the c***s who think its hard to build 4ages get real it only takes a day to build it complete as a long block i should $&#$% know as i do this as a job.

Yet again you miss the point, whilst you may be able to assemble an engine in a day, building one take a lot longer.

I'd like to see someone deck a block, true the bores, line bore the mains, hone it to a suitable finish, port the head, replace the valve guides, fit bigger valves, give it a 5 angle valve job, and the myriad of other jobs that go into building an engine, in a day. Hell I know some top engine builders that would spend a day just measuring everything up.

BTW there is no need for vulgar language. Clear, concise, and unambiguous wording is all that is need to get your point across

Amen to that.

I was looking at some NA power for my AW11 I'm currently building. But why would I spend $900 on cams, $2000 - $3000 on internals, a few grand more to have the head worked and the engine balanced for perhaps about 160ish HP? I'd far rather a 20v with light mods or something like a basic 4AGTE, and spend the rest on beer. Making big NA power just seems like a bit of a redicilous exercise when you don't have to.
