Yes, it was me that changed the ranks.

Why? Coz i can, and also to prove a point to those who are complaining about them in the first place that it doesnt matter what the ranks are, what you name them, what they are in relation to, you people are going to complain and bitch and moan till the cows come home about them. Sure we could take submissions for new ranks. But then we're back to square one again as the whiners and bitchers and moaners start up again saying how they're lame/ghey/misleading/*insert reason here*

So as a result. You are now all 'Toyspeed Members' (unless of course you're a moderator/sponsor/founding member/Ts Wannabe by previous aquisition) and that will not change based on how many posts you have/make

It's the same thing that always happens here, one person makes a sweeping decision for the whole community.

I don't mind what it says under my name but I do think there is a lack of respect for members here. The site is slowly changing hands as new mods come and old mods go (or become less active) and with that comes new ideas (you would think so anyway ) new "bad hair days" and all manner of personal opinion overthrowing good old debate and discussion.

I'd have to agree with Matt. Your attempt at changing things was a statement of control. It in no way was meant for the betterment of the community, it was an attempt at showing your totalitarian rule. The alteration had no possibility of pleasing anyone, wasnt requested by anyone in the community and was in retailtation to a thread that was triggered by the volinteer actions of mods to start and alter the names in the first place.
In regards to proving your point, you havent proved a thing. If you purposly change things for the worse then people will always complain.

Dude, your a mod... theres no need for your comments... If your not happy with the way matt commented then pm him... Moderators are here to serve the members... make sure everyone is treated well...

Set an example for heavens sake... Trying to make an example of him has achieved the oposite of what you where trying to do (i.e. shoot him down in flames)... instead, as others have said, you have just validated his comments.

Sorry maybe i wasnt clear... the purpose of a mod is to make sure everything flows smoothly... for the good of the forum as a whole... and the forum is the members... therefore by my twisted logic that means serve the members... in retrospect i can see how that could be taken the wrong way...

Yeah, i aggree Disturb is a good guy from what i have seen on the post (and now you cant see how much of a newbie i am! )... but this is out of character for him in my humble opinion

If you want to make money as a club, charge for registration, offer a "Membership pack" or start adding a premium to all the activities that are organised by the club. $5 extra on the price of a track day or Megameets etc aint much.

I think that's a bit extreme Warwick, there was a lot wrong with the forum a while ago and people are still holding grudges. I for one think the place is pretty $&#$% good now but I still have my own opinion about things.

Actually, after thinking about it a bit more...

The forum has improved a whole lot since the last uprising, I like it.

Someone here really rubs me the wrong way though so I guess I get a bit niggly in reply, just happened to be in a "custom rank" thread. I'm not really worried about user ranks/titles.
