Who puts in cams?

So i have an intake cam out of a 5e-fhe which i want put into my 4e-fte Starlet GT engine..can anyone recommend somebody in auckland who would be able to do this for me? preferably someone who will do a decent job but won't charge the world

Why not DIY? does it need grinding or somthing?

if its just putting in and timing theres wicked info online to get it right. Its not overly hard. Plenty of ppl here would guide you as well

it will need to be reshimmed...But if anyone on here can do it and would want to give me a hand (i'll pay for the trouble of course)...i'd be happy with that...

so it needs head work?

Non the less ive delt on more than 1 occasian now with a crowd i highly reccomend.

For ya head Ed Mikere from Takanini cylinder head specalists, For cams Aidrian from Franklin cams, And bottom end work Wayne from North Shore engine reconditoners.

2nd engine im building now, nothing but great service and a price im happy with.

Thats all i used last time and got some fantastic results heres some pics of the head.

he did the works, checked for things mesured things replaced seals, valve stems etc was around $400 all up, i was Very impressed with the work.
