Well im going to replace all the rotors on my supra and i was talking to our local brake shop guy who recomended these znoelli ones....He had a GTS-T one there on example and it looked quailty, I heard a rumor repco sells them to?

Susposedly he just buys quailty brake rotors (shop guy was unsure of brand) and then slots or dimples them to the customers request

Im looking at getting slotted and dimpled ones for the front and just slotted for the rear...as my car weighs heaps and i wanna stop and mainfield etc lol so will have track use

Prices were $250 for the fronts
$200 for the rears

So yeah id just thaught id ask the toyspeed community on there thaughts on them, and those that have them?, are they good or am i wasting my money? is there other options others would recomend to go for?

when you say dimpled, do you mean cross drilled? if so, be wary, they can be prone to cracking. slotted rotors with good pads and fluid, a new brake master and if you really want to, braided lines, will give you really good performance.

Have a read of this for some good info on upgrading your brakes.

I know my post doesn't really answer any of your questions, but you may find it useful anyway.

nah not cross drilled there actually dimpled...like a 2-3mm id say start of a drill hole in the rotor surface..

thanks for that information with race breaks, im going to get some mintex of them hopefully

why would you let anyone other than the manufacturer modify your brakes..........

Will the MKIV rotors fit with your MKIII callipers if so we get extremely good deals you just have to talk to Mr revhead and he'll sought you..

Last time I replaced rotors on the MKIV $95 for 323mm Toyota Genuine Rotor $190 for the fronts am unsure of the rears as I've never had to replace them... :D

Si - yeah that is true about the hero with the power drill...i have talked to 0800 racebreaks and priced up some DBA'S but im just investiagating the options at the moment...

2jayzgte - nah the mk4 rotors dont fit the mk3, u need to make all kinds of adapter plates to fit them, not really worth the hassle

im using znoelli (how ever the fuct they are spelt) and have found them fuken awesome. no problems yet and i have been purposely giving them death trying to break them. i went for the s12's (the ones with the heat paint and 12 slots) and yea, fuken sweet!

looked into DBA's but i read that they drill them AFTER they are made, thus making them weaker and more prone to snapping

thanks for that, yeah i was thinking about the heat ones are they very usefull? work very well?

hmm yeah i think ill stay away from cross drilled all you seem to hear is horror stories

I think x drilled would be ok if you have a light car, but they do fill with rust after a while :?

Most rotors are slotted after they are made, thats why its usually cheaper to buy normal rotors and either slot them your self or get someone to do it..

Its pretty common practice.

You have to be a little more carefull with crossdrilled rotors. But youll find slotted ones should work well enough. With crossdrilled ones i dont think they are vented, so they are a solid disk, but i dont know. Never looked into it.

you can get drilled vented,

just make sure you dont get dodgy rotors with the holes drilled through the meat of the rotor, rather than the vented section!

There are 2 different items for MA70 under powerslot replacement rotors. other than the price, what is the difference?

mmm, boost - hmm wish my car was light..she tips the scales at 1570kgs..

methoud - yeah these ones are slotted afterwards aswell, dunno if i could do them myself, who does after market slotting?

fourtyone.co.nz - there pretty expensive compared to other brands on the market. whats the diffrence?

Any good machine shop can slot and/or drill a set of rotors. We slot them all the time at work, even got a couple of CNC programs etc fro some of the more common ones that we do, nothing difficult or time consuming about it, you co do them on a manual mill if you wanted too, though CNC would be more accurate & result in a faster & more balanced rotor.

I stay well clear of drilled rotors, seem way too many cracked between the holes, I've even seen cracked non-drilled,slotted rotors in some motorsport applications, & i'm not talking about small surface heat cracks here, I'm talking big enough to see by eye with the wheel/tyre still on the car whilst not even really looking closely at brakes.

To the best of my knowledge all rotors are slotted after they are made, the only operations I could possibly see them doing after putting the slots in are finish grinding/coating if needed, but everyone I've looked at has had the slots ground/milled into them, not cast/forged.

I had their S12's on my old MR2. They were great.
Just a little too many slots for my liking. 6 would have been plenty.
