Auto GTT Dash Lights + VSC Question

Postby WanaGo » Sat Oct 14, 2006 10:14 pm

Hey,

Where the indicator on the dash is to say D,R,1,2,3,4 etc on the Manual, is there a light under that which should come on when the headlights are on?
Mine doesnt work, so you cant see gear when its dark (other than by sound and feel and rev etc). Just wondering if there is a light/led/bulb of some sort, so I can get in and replace it.

Also - How many people have done the VSC disable mod by Inane?
Has anyone else tried a trick which is available on the net... It apparently works for 2006 (possibly earlier) Rav4's, and the Lexus GS430. It could potentially work for other Toyotas. Would be interested to see what it works on. This is the steps to turn off the VSC on them. I have not yet tried on GTT, so dont know if it works.

There is a video on that page too showing him doing it, and skidding it around a bend.

Alot of people may have seen it but I thought I would share.

Very interested to hear what it works on.
If it doesnt work on GTT I will do Inanes lovely mods :)

yep there is supposed to be a light there,

I have had the same problem, but then its come right again after I've pulled up the dash to look at something else...

so I guess that answer doesnt help much :)

as for the vsc mod, there is a number who have, and a lot more who have seen that it definitely works.
