bzg / bzr front cut prices

Postby levinguy » Wed Oct 25, 2006 8:38 pm

hey

planning to do a ae82 fxgt as a project after Christmas, in one solid long week ( i know it will end up taking longer but hey)

planning to put a blacktop in, with the brakes and hubs, pretty much the whole front running gear

already got a mechanic sorted for when i go wrong :P

just wondering what a good price for a front cut is? is there any difference between the price of a bzg and a bzr?

and what places have you guys have had good experiences with for getting them in auckland

not planning to use the 6 speed but i'd sell it.

thanks, comments welcome!

this is just a guess,

but BZR being newer, less kms (in theory) and 6 speed, will cost more than a BZG with 5 speed and higher kms.....

sounds like a mint project! good luck, especially with a buildtime of a week

yea well if the difference is small, i'l just buy the 6 speed front cut and sell the box as people pay stupid amounts of money for them :P

i think i should be able to get it done in the week, will be with the help of a couple of mates, having a whole week of work and everything else possible

assuming nothing goes wrong

yeah with a crew that knows what they are doing you could pull it off.

people do pay stupid amounts for 6 speeds, but unless wreckers are unaware of that (unlikely) the bzr cut may be bumped up to include the worth of the 6 speed... maybe
