Pago - The NZ PayPal - Anyone used it?

Browsing TM and came across this new pay system called Pago.

Has anyone used it ad if not you think something like this will take off in NZ?

I heard about this on the radio this morning...

You can do transfer money via your cellphone to other people registered with the system, Its available on Voda and Telecom, and there is a limit of $200.00 per day for it, all you need is the persons bank details, mobile number or paygo number.... then both the recipient and yourself get a conformation text...

Seems pretty simple... Make using trade me a little eaiser too...

yeah thats what i thought - saw the link on TM actually.

says eventually it will up the limit which you can send.. will see how it goes.

to transfer money the other person already needs to be registered. bit ghey really..

kinda like taking advantage of vodafones texting system - both need to be on the plan to make it worth while

I couldn't find how much it cost to get set up initially but i figure its gotta be less than $10. I reckon it'd be worth signing up, its just one of those things, help it take off. Or if it doesnt work.. then its only a few bucks.

Id rather use Paypal though
