John, sounds like you've got some major wheel hop goin? What tyres are you running? Have you replaced any suspension bushes in the rear or are they all stock?

M/T slicks and hardend suspension and new bushes, but i think 500kws was the limit of the torsen.

POINT is seeing if there is some one out there that knows of a stronger diff not to buy another torsen to brake.

Why not run a clutch type lsd... alot more $ than stock torsens but will hold what your throwing at it, and if not.. shim it up and throw more at it.

You have to have some slip in the driveline somewhere. If you dont, something will break. Wether it be tyres, clutch or diff. Preferably tyres!

You could look at going to an auto setup with stall converter, 4 link rear end, that way you will have consistant launches and it won't break. However it may become a tad boring.

Are you actually getting much wheel hop? Have you done just the springs or the shocks also? Stiffer springs but stock(ish) shocks could make wheel hop worse, might need more rebound damping maybe?

I know the mkiv auto torsen can take plenty of power, pretty sure there are cars doing 8's and 9's on that diff, is the mk3 torsen actually much weaker?

Either way, sounds like it might be time for a TRD or Cusco diff head 8O

Perhaps go to Croydon's and have a yarn with Graeme? I dont think he solved his diff shattering issues when it was manual though.

Are the torsen diffs you are using MKIV Torsen diffs????

The only other suggestion I would say is get a properly built tranny for the drag racing..

I no this is a long shot but theres a guy Sth Australia I think the place is called MV automatics apparently he builds the Factory A340Es to suit I got the info outta HPI a Aussie publication but this guy is meant to be the man.

We are thinking of putting nyles c4 tranny in with a shot of nos to get it of the line.
