whats wrong with that concept.

i love cars that look like lambos and stuff. that looks like a very modern and powerful car.
i would look at it and say... please dont bite my nuts off.
or something along those lines. i dont find it bad at all in fact im quite excited for it, what are the specs of this car? is it the new supra or something?

theyve been floating a concept similar to that for years now. will be interesting to see if it comes together. think ive seen pics of them testing something similar too.

hopefully they keep the weight down and power up, but i suspect theyll aim for the luxury market with it being lexus, load it up with options, stack it out to 1800kg and give it a measly 200kw engine :?

looks the business tho :lol:

problem is they have to be able to sell the cars :lol: so it'll need to priced under 150k, probly more likely under 100k :? you just wont get supercar performance for that $$ unless you take al the weight away a la lotus/ariel/caterham etc

I really don't like that. They're coming to the point where there just aren't many more original ideas, that are still tasteful. The rear instantly reminded me of a 350Z, which I've found is becoming more and more common. I want to know why! Besides, they should be concentrating less on asthetics, and more on making them run on something other than petrol.. :?

The thing is they have made it a hybrid and hybrids to have a few more advantages other than being fuel efficient, electric motors have a tourqe curve way in excess of what any IC motor can produce. It has synergy drive on the dash so im guessing its the same concept as the prius where theres two engines both delivering power to one gear box. The one draw back with hybrids though is the same that plauges electric cars, is that the batteries WILL need replacing eventually and there are a lot of them to replace.

I do like the roof though, its a fairly fresh approach to the targa top idea

I really hate the look of almost all new cars.
There trying make them to futuristic which i think just make it look like a $&#$% up brick in the end :cry:

Did anyone see on BBC world a couple of nights ago they had a Lotus with a tesla motor in it. That looked the business

Performance

* 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph): approximately 4.0 s
* Top speed: 210 km/h (130 mph)
* Range: 400 km (250 miles) on the EPA highway cycle
* carbon dioxide emission equivalent: 89 - 178 g/km
* Fuel efficiency: 200 watt-hours per mile - the electrical equivalent of about 135 miles per gallon [3]

by most accounts the supra will be the "budget" sports coupe (350z class), with the lexus coupe being the new supercar (same basic body). 500hp worth of v8 in the lexus. The first toyota v8 with a GE head too 8)
