Anyone got a K and N air filter for their Caldina GT-T?

Postby Mark H » Tue Feb 13, 2007 2:22 pm

Hi all

Hmmm, bit of a technical question but I think someone will know!

I've just purchased a K and N washable air filter from Supercheap Auto for my 2001 Caldina GT-T.

Supercheap had to order it in and sure enough (according to the Toyota place where I took it today to get installed).....it doesn't fit! I haven't got the box on me, but I think the model number is 33-2030.

Can anyone with a K and N air filter in their Caldina GT-T tell me the exact model number of the filter, that I can go back to Supercheap with??

Cheers

Mark.

Looks like they gave you a filter which will fit an MR2.

Try and find out the Toyota part no and go to www.knfilters.com and do a part no cross reference

Going by the dimensions for the air filter given on the Ryco website, the filter pn should be 33-2145-1 (or x-ref to toyota is 1780103010)

Thanks for the help. Couldn't resist getting the filter from Supercheap, Warwick . They were the cheapest at $178 compared to $224 at Repco!

The saga continues...I phoned Supercheap, who phoned the distributor in Auckland. Apparently, I have to measure my current paper filter and give them the dimensions. Seems like a load of crap though....

I'll PM doin donuts and try the other advice given here first.

Cheers

LoL. Have stored that bit of advice away for future reference: avoid Supercheap like the plague....always shop at R & B

:D

Yeah, Warwick has told me about the TRD air filters, but the K and N filter is washable and apparently won't void my SC warranty. There's always that TRD suspension though... :D
