I got a mazda capella im wrecking, but i dont no what the engine/gearbox/loom and ecu is worth.

Its a 2l DOHC injected engine and got a 5sp manual g/box.
everything works, and has done 150,000kms.

Any one go any idea what it would all be worth?
Thanks

Jeez shouldn't you be asking this on the Capella forums, christ. :P

Maybe 250 - 350 I suppose, I don't see the ECU etc. helping a lot as it'd likely be the sort of thing purchased as a replacement engine for one thats not worth fixing?

Heres what I suspect is much the same thing on TM:

Those engines are quite bad at blowing head gaskets or cracking/warping heads. Bottom ends aren't so strong either.

They are probably worth a bit to the right person, it's all about finding the right buyer. If you can hold out for a while ask for $400, otherwise if you want a quick sale ask for $200.

Phone up a bunch of wreckers and see how much they would want for the same engine, then charge roughly 2/3 of that.

I sold a mitsi 4G63 DOHC N/A for $350 and that was a quick sale. If I held out a while I probably could have got $600, purely because theres a high demand for them.

those engines are currently selling thru the dismantlers for $400-500.
so $300 should see you sell it. as for the gearbox, ask $150-175 and you'll sell it.
