Stainless Piping

Im buying my own stainless piping for intercooler piping, intake, manifold and exhaust.

Just curious as to what grade they have to be? I know for exhaust mani it will be 304, but what about for the others? like what do u need for the exhaust, considering its exposed to weather, etc.

304 for all will be fine

316 is marine grade, I'm sure you can guess why

As stated above, unless you plan on your car spending alot of time underwater, 304 is the go.

Why not go for ally IC piping and intake? Its a lot less weight...

and doesnt heak soak anywere near as much! stainless retains heat for a long time, alloy cools very quick.

alloy can be polished just as well as stainless

alloy is easy to cut with a hacksaw, stainless is a GOOD arm workout if you want to cut it. Is easier to sand/grind etc

in my mind alloy piping kicks stainless piping to africa

I personally thnk stanless comes up with a better finsh when polishd but man alloy is so much easy to get out little imperfections in the steel, id go alloy just for cost factor, and yea id agree to say it cools down alot faster aswell, but i mean if u can get ur hands on stanless for free or cheap (like i did) id go with that, heres a couple of pic's of my pipe work,
