Best upgrade he could get... One word: Turbo 8)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

What's the deal with those, do the soarer turbos fit, any other types bolt on?
I'm also looking at getting a late 90's Supra, but most turbos I find are auto, most non turbo are manual kind of thing, lots of early 90's turbo Soarers are coming down in price, worth getting one for parts?

the flange on the exhaust manifold is different between 1JZ(soarer) and 2JZ(supra).

My advice is to stay away from chrome wheels and big ass overkill body-kits..Low&Wide sleeper look is the way to go for the Supra in my view. Also a nice set of JDM lightweight racing wheels Volks,Advan,Enkei or Work are a few brands to look at I myself have Volk TE 37s.

Performance wise well basic power mods and if these don't meet your expectations then look at a turbo upgrade option but be prepared to spend the $$$ if you want to go down that route.

My list of mods is to long to list but since my car is used to seeing alot of track-days I have done suspension, brakes and my car also is a TT.But I run the Factory ECU,Turbos, injectors and cams with the basic performance mods FMIC,Boost Controller,Exhaust,Filter and this nets me in the 450-460 HP range.I have found this plenty and to go to the next step with after market options is just to much $$$$ for me so I'm rapt with my car the way it is now.. :D

in all honesty, it would be easier to trade your n/a one in and get a tt one.

2jzgtes go for good money and so do the boxes to match.

as long as your n/a one is stockish at the moment and you havent gotten too attached to it, trade up.

otherwise you end up looking like an egg at the drags when your big turbo single wheel spinning conversion gets you a 16.

the head flange/pattern is different between turbo and non turbo aswell.

If you want N/A power, whats his budget and whats he wanting to aim for? if its just times down the strip then fit a 200HP nos kit. Extractors are available as a bolt in item basically.
