can someone tell me how worn this clutch disk is.

i just made a purchase and not happy.

no names to say who. but yea.

Looking at that pic there dont seem to be much meat left on that thing eh...but is hard to tell given you dont have anything in the pic to size off of

yea, i will remember next time, just that this is what the guy said.

Yip heavy duty, heaps of meat on it, will be a real good clutch, and not jerky either like button clutch or multiplate

i also got the clutch plate too and the flywheel. flywheel is good condition.

but :cry: not the clutch disk and plate. will post more photos later.

looks worn out to me, wast of time fitting it I think.

just get a exedy clutch plate, there about $100, be as good or better than that one and brand new, just get the fly an cover surfaced, they "heavy duty" might refer to the cover having more clamp than stock.

Almost down to the rivets, probably not more than a 2-3000kms left in it :(

Pretty hard to tell from that pic, but the guess would be its pretty worn. How shagged is the pressure plate? The clutch plate is the cheap bit anyway, if the pressure plate is sweet just price up a new clutch plate

EDIT - Looks like it is just touching on a couple of the rivets on better inspection. Probably just starting to score the pressure plate a little bit?

it looks to have less meat than the one i pulled out of my car that had started slipping after 2.5 years of very serious abuse (completely overpowered and track work)

bin it. dont be cheap, price a new standard one, its probly cheaper than what you paid for that. unless you really dont mind replacing it in a few 000km time. i know e-w clutch jobs can be a right bastard without the right tools and a hoist :oops:

you can get the clamp pressure tested at a lot of clutch places too , if you have a standard one to compare to it'll tell you if its been uprated or not. ie i had them test my standard one then uprate it, then restest it to confirm the improvement.

was fine when i sold it to you. your mechanic wouldnt of put it in if it was fcuked, you emailed me and said it was fine and that your car always stalled and you were wrapped, actually here's what you said;

o well, there is a lesson to learn on this i guess.

always view the item before you buy it and not to trust what people say.
