interior upholstery repair - wellington

Postby cogent » Tue Mar 25, 2008 3:32 pm

Our ballin BMW e36 318 on kromez has a sagging headliner which is really affecting our playa status.

Can anyone recommend a place in Wellington (as far north as paraparam region) who can reglue the headliner in place? there are no rips or tears or anything, so I'm fairly certain it can be re-used. Would do it myself but I've got a feeling it will look better if I just pay someone to do it.

Alternatives to reusing the factory headliner would be to get a 'cashmoney' print fabric and use that.

Cant be reglued.Rip the old fabric out, clean off the remains of the old foam, and glue new fabric is the only way to go. It is a very common fault in BMWs.I have done 100s of them.

Yeah I saw its quite common on the net, a lot of people seem to do it themselves but id rather just pay someone. If its as common as you say then someone should be able to give me a good indication of cost.

But where to go! cant seem to find anywhere on yellowpages, or maybe i'm using the wrong keywords.

Go to Richard at All Car Upholstery in Victoria Street, Petone (down by Pak n Save). Good work, good price.
