Just a quick question:

Who owns the plates on "Written off" cars? Using www.Carfax.co.nz (from another post) I looked up SE82, the car's rego was cancelled in 2004. I'm just wondering who it would be owned by since I could probably pick it up quite cheap if it could be bought?

I think once a rego has lapsed that same rego cant be reused.

you can buy the plate now as a personalized one tho.

plates.co.nz says it's taken. I assumed this was because it's still owned as a standard plate...?

F*ck paying that much for a plate that only hardcore Toyota people will get anyway! :roll:
