MR2 targa top and motorsport

Who here has had any trouble using a targa top car without a cage in a motorsport event? As in not being able to use it because of the glass roof?

Ask Leon about it, he used to work for Motorsport NZ...but basically you cant use a targa topped car in competition without some for of roll protection.
